Backend Engineer, Payments/Risk (Mid/Senior) - Contract - Remote

Overview

The Lifetime Value Co. is looking for a Backend Engineer to join our growing team. This role involves writing backend APIs, working in database design, and optimizing distributed infrastructure, focusing on Payments and Risk engineering efforts.

In Short

• Optimize fraud-blocking measures for post-paywall purchases.
• Manage integration of new fraud/chargeback data providers.
• Migrate business logic to separate services as needed.
• Implement improvements to internal tooling and automation.

Requirements

• 3+ years of experience as a software engineer.
• Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience.
• Fluency in at least one object-oriented language, preferably Ruby.
• Familiarity with SQL and various databases.
• Experience with Git.
• Understanding of code testing methodologies.
• Familiarity with Unix-based systems and Docker/Kubernetes.
• Great communication skills.
