Overview

Scripps Sports is seeking a Director, National Sales to deliver on revenue goals for national line of business across Scripps Sports properties, focusing on local market sports properties.

In Short

  • Manage day-to-day operations for sports properties.
  • Handle requests and lead the upfront sales process.
  • Create client presentations and proposals.
  • Work with internal teams on fulfillment contracts and digital stewardship.
  • Provide accurate sales forecasts.
  • Manage client relationships to influence business.
  • Identify and close new partnership opportunities.
  • Collaborate with leadership on go-to-market strategies.
  • Travel up to 40% as required.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • BS/BA in related discipline or equivalent experience preferred.
  • 10+ years of experience in sales, preferably in sports or media.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Effective leadership and communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
  • Advanced computer skills, including Microsoft Office and Zoom.
