Data Science Lead - Remote

Overview

The Democratic National Committee’s Tech Team is hiring a Data Science Lead to head up our data science team and ensure the excellence of our data science models. The DNC’s data science offerings enable Democrats to run winning campaigns all across the country by providing foundational guidance on strategy, resource allocation and effective voter outreach.

• Lead the data science team and ensure the quality of predictive models.
• Manage strategic data science initiatives and coach team members.

• Focus on statistical methods and machine learning infrastructure.

Requirements

• Experience leading data science teams and mentoring.
• Proficient in deploying machine learning models in production.
• Background in data science or statistics in social sciences or business.
• Fluent in Python and/or R, and SQL.
• Experience with cloud data environments like GCP, BigQuery.
• Knowledge of machine learning services on cloud platforms.
• Strong communication skills for diverse audiences.
• Experience with polling or survey-based modeling is a plus.
• Familiarity with data analysis/visualization tools.
• Understanding of political data and its applications.
