Overview

The Programme Coordinator will support the International Partnerships portfolio and project manage existing Sustainable Finance Grants.

In Short

  • Coordinate the Ethiopia project for fiscal policy analysis of climate policies.
  • Develop strategy for Tanzania's country platform focusing on energy transition and sustainable land use.
  • Support implementation of international partnership initiatives, particularly China-Africa partnerships.
  • Assist in managing China-Africa related grants.
  • Set up meetings, keep minutes, and prepare notes and speeches.
  • Prepare presentations using PowerPoint for various stakeholders.
  • Develop reports based on research and present findings.
  • Organize events such as forums and webinars.
  • Ensure task lists are updated timely.
  • Occasional travel may be required.

Requirements

  • Master’s degree in Finance, Investment, Business Management, Climate, Environment or Politics.
  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience in international development related to climate change.
  • Experience with financial institutions or international organizations.
  • Knowledge in investment, sustainable finance, and climate policies is advantageous.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in cross-functional teams.
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Able to work effectively with a wide range of stakeholders.
  • Detail-oriented and results-driven.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Fluency in English; knowledge of French or Chinese is a plus.
  • Able to travel to different African countries for business.
