Live Ops Engineer - Remote

Overview

We are looking for a Tools Engineer to help us usher in the future of Live Operations at thatgamecompany. You will work closely with the LiveOps Architect and collaborate across multiple teams in order to implement tools and patterns which will improve how we work together to bring our players the best possible Live experience.

In Short

• Design, implement, test, document, and maintain internal software tools and integrations.
• Design and execute experiments to improve Live Architecture.
• Mentor TGC employees in Live Operations principles.
• Assist in Release Readiness and Live Incident Response events.
• Communicate progress across disciplines and with players.

Requirements

• Strong desire to build tools for Live Service games.
• Proven ability in Systems Design principles.
• Fluency in Python, Golang, C/C++, and Groovy.
• Familiarity with Container-based Application Development.
• Experience writing CI/CD pipelines.
• Fluency in writing REST APIs.
• Familiarity with Agile methodologies.
• Experience with software release management practices.
• Fluency in source control management patterns.
