Overview

The Area Sales Director (ASD) is responsible for overseeing the Specialty Account Managers, focusing on increasing sales productivity, managing a team, and ensuring goals and budgets are met.

In Short

  • Hire, manage, and coach Specialty Account Managers.
  • Increase sales/productivity to achieve sales quotas.
  • Forecast against budget.
  • Maximize revenue by Specialty Account Managers to hit quarterly budgets.
  • Conduct weekly ride-alongs for coaching.
  • Grow relationships with Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs).
  • Represent the organization at trade shows.
  • Ensure goals and budgets are met.
  • Develop and implement new hire sales training.
  • Lead and motivate a team of 8-10 Specialty Account Managers.

Requirements

  • Proven track record of high performance.
  • Ability to lead and inspire a team.
  • Strong leadership, planning, and organization skills.
  • Strong strategic planning and analytical skills.
  • BS/BA Required (MBA Preferred).
  • 5 – 10 Years Sales Management Experience.
