Cloud Applications Development Engineer - Remote

Overview

The Tecsys cloud services team is seeking a talented Cloud Applications Development Engineer to support the operations and implementation of our cloud-based infrastructure as well as managed services in a SaaS environment.

In Short

• Build client infrastructure deployment.
• Design, scale, and implement an automated approach throughout the Tecsys platform lifecycle.
• Build a CI/CD pipeline for our delivery process.
• Create deployment logic for various scenarios and edge cases.
• Develop automation and testing for all our processes.
• Work with AWS services focusing on complex and hybrid architectures.
• Monitor various systems of Tecsys server infrastructure to ensure stability and maximize uptime for clients.
• Collaborate with developers to plan and build deployment automation and maintainability of a broader Tecsys network.
• Provide technical infrastructure and platform support for our SaaS offering.
• Participate in project planning and implementation (design, implementation, and support).

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional experience.
• 4+ years of production experience with high-volume, highly available distributed systems based on Java or .Net.
• 2+ years of production experience with various cloud services (AWS or Azure).
• Proven mastery of scripting (Ubuntu, grep, shell, bash, etc.).
• Clear understanding of networking concepts (e.g., firewall, NAT, port, subnet, VPC, VPN, DNS, etc.).
• Experience designing and managing production Unix container ecosystems (Docker, EKS or AKS, Kubernetes).
• Proven experience with secure AWS architecture (e.g., IAM, EC2, VPC) using Infrastructure as Code techniques like CloudFormation and Terraform.
• Excellent problem-solving, organizational, and communication skills.
• Knowledge of GitLab or Jenkins required.
• Knowledge of Terraform and Ansible required.
