Cloud Application Deployment Engineer - Remote

Overview

The purpose of this position is to provide customer-focused Application Deployments and upgrades. Looking for Engineer to join our growing Cloud team. This person will be responsible for working with our Devops teams to develop/run automation to deploy and upgrade NICE products.

In Short

• Perform operational duties including reviewing deployments to ensure the installation was successful
• Identify and resolve issues not handled by the automation
• Feedback issues with automation back to Devops and then test fixes
• Maintain Deployment documentation, e.g. incident tracking and run books.
• Perform upgrades and ensure the application is fully functional afterwards
• Work with Devops on any issues with upgrade automation
• Test new automation as new versions/features are released
• Work with Appops/Support teams after upgrades to identify if any issues were related to the upgrade process
• Work scheduled events that may be during weekends or during non-prime shift hours

Requirements

• 2 to 4 years’ experience in Application /production support experience in Cloud-Based hosting administration
• Experience with AWS is a bonus.
• Experience with Unix, Linux, Windows, Tomcat, SSH and basic scripting skills
• Experience with SQL Server, Oracle and MySQL
• Experience with and understanding of complex process and data flow
• Ability to effectively and proactively communicate to various Product groups and clients
• Experience with application debugging, performance, scalability
• Familiarity with standard application security compliance best practices
• Knowledge of fault detection and resolution processes
• Ability to multi-task and provide rapid support in production
• Must be able to provide on-call off-hour support and work during non-prime shift hours
