Overview

As a Data Engineer, you will design, develop, and maintain data systems and pipelines that support our analytical and operational teams. Your work will ensure that data flows seamlessly across our operational and data systems, ready for analysis and reporting.

In Short

  • Design, construct, test, and maintain scalable data pipelines and architectures.
  • Develop, implement, and automate ETL processes.
  • Build and optimise databases including Amazon Redshift and BigQuery.
  • Work closely with data scientists and business stakeholders.
  • Ensure data integrity, consistency, and security across all systems.
  • Evaluate and implement new data technologies.
  • Participate in code reviews and maintain best practices.
  • Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, Java, or Scala.
  • Strong knowledge of SQL and experience with databases.
  • Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in data engineering or a related field.
  • Hands-on experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform).
  • Experience with real-time data processing and stream processing frameworks.
  • Familiarity with data visualisation tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI).
  • Knowledge of containerisation technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills.
  • Ability to manage tasks independently and meet deadlines.
