External Reporting Lead - Remote

Overview

Teamshares is a mission-driven startup focused on transitioning small businesses into employee-owned entities through innovative software and community products. The External Reporting Lead will enhance financial analysis and reporting processes in compliance with SEC regulations.

In Short

• Prepare financial statements and ensure compliance with US GAAP.
• Build out financial statements and investor reporting materials.
• Conduct disclosure benchmarking against industry peers.
• Prepare consolidated financial statements with intercompany eliminations.
• Perform foreign currency translation for international subsidiaries.
• Collaborate with external auditors for quarterly reviews and audits.
• Enhance financial reporting processes and internal controls.
• Monitor FASB pronouncements and advise on implementation.
• Conduct technical accounting research on complex transactions.
• Contribute to special projects as needed.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance or equivalent experience.
• 4-7 years of experience in financial reporting or at a Big 4 firm.
• CPA license preferred.
• Familiarity with OneStream and NetSuite.
• Strong knowledge of US GAAP and SEC regulations.
• Experience with 10-Ks and 10-Qs preparation.
• Attention to detail and ability to self-review.
• Excellent communication skills for explaining complex concepts.
• Problem-solving mindset and ability to work independently.
• Strong prioritization and time management skills.
