Overview

Tanium is looking for talented and energetic individuals to be part of our fast-growing Public Sector Sales team. The Government Account Executive (GAE) will work closely with our strategic partners, Sales Engineers, and field sales teams to run full cycle sales campaigns. Motivated and driven individuals will thrive in this environment while developing the key skills for a long-term technology sales career.

In Short

  • Develop, grow, and maintain relationships within a dedicated account book of Public Sector SLED accounts.
  • Build and manage a methodically qualified sales pipeline from start to close.
  • Research, identify, and generate new opportunities on a weekly basis.
  • Sell our solutions in a consultative approach through understanding customer challenges.
  • Maintain a high volume of activity including outbound calls, emails, and social selling.
  • Learn and embrace Tanium’s value selling sales strategy.
  • Build a strong understanding of the competitive landscape and current trends in the marketplace.
  • Work closely with our ecosystem of partners to drive the best outcome for customers.
  • Be an integral part of the fastest growing business in Tanium.

Requirements

  • 1+ year experience in full cycle sales campaigns in the field, with a success of hitting quota.
  • Prior experience selling into State/Local Government and Education (SLED).
  • Must live in the Northeast / Mid-Atlantic region.
  • Bachelor’s degree in business or related area.
  • Demonstrate passion about being part of a team focused on helping customers solve pressing needs in Security and IT.
  • Be a strong and effective communicator.
  • Build strong relationships across the business.
  • Be eager to learn and committed to continuous improvement.
  • Competitive mentality that drives you to exceed.
  • Have a strong technical aptitude.
