Overview

The Credit Risk Manager at Tandem will be responsible for enhancing credit risk models and leading the development of impairment models. This role focuses on supporting the Risk Measurement team and ensuring compliance with best practices.

In Short

• Lead the development of impairment models.
• Support the Risk Measurement team in enhancing credit risk models.
• Produce monthly impairment charges and quarterly forecasts.
• Present findings at relevant forums and working groups.
• Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders.
• Implement modelling enhancements and ensure compliance.
• Work with the Data team to meet Risk Measurement requirements.
• Adapt communication styles for different audiences.
• Deputise for the Senior Manager on impairment-related items.
• Share best practices with the wider Credit Risk team.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in maths, stats, finance, business, economics, or related field.
• Knowledge of consumer credit risk management.
• Experience in building scorecards and IFRS9 modelling.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and programming skills (SAS, SQL, Excel).
• Good time management skills.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Analytical mindset with data-driven decision-making abilities.
• Proactive approach to problem-solving.
• Experience in a Fintech environment is a plus.
• Knowledge of developing Economic Response Models is beneficial.
