Team Lead - Authentication and Identity Management - Remote

We are seeking an experienced Team Lead to spearhead the Authentication and Identity Management initiatives within our company. You will be responsible for overseeing the development and implementation of our authentication systems, including identity management, two-factor authentication, OTPs, and related services. This role involves managing both technical execution and team development, making it ideal for a leader with a strong technical background and a passion for building and scaling teams.

In Short

• Lead a team responsible for the development of core authentication features, including IAM, credentials management, 2FA, OTP, and user account management.
• Build a new team from scratch, including recruiting, mentoring, and managing team members.
• Work closely with product and engineering teams to design and implement robust, secure, and scalable authentication solutions for both B2B and B2C use cases.
• Directly manage the development of authentication flows, ensuring high standards of security, scalability, and user experience.
• Foster a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement within the team.
• Lead efforts to extract legacy code from the monolith and transition to a more modern, microservices-based architecture.
• Focus on business challenges such as trusted devices and keypass, and integrate solutions for improved user authentication.

Requirements

• Experience in software development, with a strong focus on backend engineering; expertise in Golang and backend-driven design.
• Proven leadership experience, including team building, people management, and mentoring.
• Hands-on experience managing authentication systems, including IAM, 2FA, OTP, and user account management.
• Experience with large-scale system architecture and transitioning from monolithic to microservices-based solutions.
• Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to navigate legacy code and improve legacy systems.
• Familiarity with security best practices in authentication and identity management.
