Overview

We are seeking an experienced IT Policy/Legislative Specialist to support cybersecurity policy development and legislative initiatives for a high-profile government IT security office. This part-time, remote position requires a dynamic professional with a strong background in public policy and cybersecurity, capable of translating complex legislative and technical information into clear, executive-level briefing materials. Applicants must be eligible for Public Trust clearance.

In Short

• Research and analyze current and emerging IT security policies and legislative developments.
• Monitor changes in cybersecurity frameworks and assess their impact on government operations.
• Develop, review, and update policy documents and executive summaries.
• Collaborate with technical teams to ensure alignment with regulatory requirements.
• Provide expert recommendations on policy matters to inform decision-making.
• Present clear policy briefs in virtual meetings and written communications.
• Must have a Bachelor’s degree in a related field.
• At least 10 years of experience in policy development and cybersecurity.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Tools.
