Technical Writer - Remote

Overview

Sweep is hiring a Technical Writer to work on our enterprise climate program software. Climate change is the defining challenge of our era, and technology is at the center of the fight. Sweep is arming companies with tools to manage their climate impact, thereby contributing to a better future for everyone.

In Short

• Understand the Sweep app inside out, and stay up-to-date on the ongoing developments of its features and functionalities.
• Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams (including Product, Engineering, and Customer Success) to meet technical content needs.
• Develop accurate, creative, and engaging technical content, across various channels (documentation articles, online training programs, and in-product guidance).
• Create, maintain, and improve articles, online learning courses, and in-app text, keeping in step with product developments.
• Write, edit, and review content independently, working in a structured authoring environment.
• Oversee translation of documentation articles and online courses, ensuring accuracy and consistency.
• Stay informed on customer behaviours, product developments, company activities, and industry trends.

Requirements

• English "native" or bilingual.
• French fluent.
• Proven experience as a technical writer in a SaaS B2B product environment.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills both in French and English.
• Ability to understand complex technical concepts and explain them clearly.
• Familiarity with software development tools and methodologies.
• Experience documenting APIs and developer guides.
• Experience working in a structured authoring tool environment.
• Ideally you already come with a deep knowledge of climate change and climate action.
