Technical Writer - Remote

Overview

As a technical writer at Palo Alto Networks, you will help our customers deploy and use the Cortex products, ensuring their success in using our services and helping them protect their endpoints.

In Short

• Document how customers can adopt and use Cortex products.
• Develop high-quality content for user success.
• Work with developers, QA, and support teams to gather information.
• Organize technical details into user-friendly documentation.
• Propose changes and improvements to documentation processes.
• Adapt to changes and prioritize tasks effectively.
• Write clear and concise technical content for various audiences.
• Utilize DITA and XML authoring tools.
• Create video tutorials and engaging content.
• Collaborate with a distributed team in a dynamic environment.

Requirements

• BA/BS or equivalent experience required.
• Minimum 5 years of technical writing experience.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Knowledge of cloud security or SOC platforms is a plus.
• Strong initiative and ability to work independently.
• Ability to learn new technologies quickly.
• Proficient with DITA and XML authoring.
• Experience with source control and collaboration tools.
• Ability to organize large amounts of information effectively.
• Experience creating in-app help and onboarding tutorials.
