Technical Writer - Remote

Overview

As a Technical Writer at MCG, you will be responsible for creating and managing user assistance content for simpler software solutions, ensuring documentation accuracy and relevance.

In Short

• Support MCG’s software solutions with documentation updates for up to 12 annual releases.
• Revise and create documentation, including images using Snagit and Visio.
• Collaborate with the User Assistance Lead and Software Product Owner for updates.
• Develop project schedules to ensure timely updates.
• Adhere to project plans and meet deliverables with attention to detail.
• Research technical topics and conduct interviews with SMEs.
• Attend development meetings to stay informed on projects.
• Provide ongoing status updates to management.
• Identify conflicts and maintain style guidelines across documentation.
• Continuously improve documentation quality and team processes.

Requirements

• 3+ years of experience in technical writing.
• Experience with Agile scrum methodology.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Adobe Acrobat, and XML-based tools.
• Bachelor’s degree in a related field preferred.
• Experience in the healthcare industry is a plus.
• Strong interpersonal skills for cross-functional collaboration.
• Ability to conduct thorough research and interviews.
• Capability to interpret and edit technical material for users.
