Overview

SunSource is seeking an Outside Sales Account Manager in the Baton Rouge area to develop new business in the industrial hydraulics sector, supported by a knowledgeable customer service team.

In Short

  • Develop new business in the industrial hydraulics market.
  • Collaborate with the District Sales Manager to create a sales plan.
  • Engage in full cycle prospecting activities including cold calls and sales presentations.
  • Meet regularly with the Sales Supervisor to review sales activities.
  • Work with customer service and technical support teams to exceed sales goals.
  • Understand the market to generate and prospect for new business.
  • Utilize tools to plan and manage time and territory effectively.
  • Expand and maintain existing business relationships.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related discipline or a 2-year technical degree.
  • 1-3 years of industrial or technical outside sales experience.
  • Experience with fluid power products and systems is preferred.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Valid driver's license required.
  • Occasional overnight travel may be required.
