Overview

As a Data Engineer on Stryker’s Customer Intelligence Data Engineering team, you will assist in providing tactical execution and delivery of projects within the data engineering project portfolio, focusing on building ETL pipelines and developing data documentation.

In Short

  • Assist in executing data engineering projects within the Customer Intelligence portfolio.
  • Gather and document requirements for new data transformations.
  • Build and maintain ETL pipelines based on user and project specifications.
  • Develop and update technical documentation for key systems and data assets.
  • Work with the Data Governance team on developing data dictionaries.
  • Support problem-solving by performing root cause analysis.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure data architecture supports business opportunities.
  • Monitor and optimize workflows and pipelines for efficiency.
  • Ensure alignment with business objectives.
  • Participate in the development of data quality tools.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Data Analytics, or related field.
  • Competency in at least one programming language used in data engineering (e.g., SQL, Python, Spark).
  • Familiarity with ETL/ELT processes and data warehouse architecture.
  • Understanding of object-oriented programming and data structures.
  • Basic knowledge of cloud platforms and tools (e.g., Azure, AWS, GCP).
  • Master’s degree in Computer Science preferred.
  • Exposure to Agile/DevOps practices and version control tools.
  • Familiarity with infrastructure-as-code and cloud-native tools.
