Overview

Stripe is seeking a Risk Partnerships Manager covering our most important banking partners. This role will be instrumental in enabling new products and payment methods to help Stripe scale for the future.

In Short

• Manage key risk relationships with payments related banking partners.
• Develop a long-term strategy for partnerships with banking partners.
• Build relationships and advocate for Stripe’s users with external stakeholders.
• Lead key risk focused initiatives with partners and internal teams.
• Communicate complex financial partner risk requirements to leadership.
• Represent Stripe’s risk controls to bank partners and regulators.
• Contribute to risk strategy objectives and propose process improvements.
• Collaborate with Financial Partnerships team on risk objectives.
• Cultivate relationships across Risk, Product, Engineering, and Operations.
• Manage user escalations and incident remediations as needed.

Requirements

• 12+ years of professional experience, including 4+ years in payments.
• Advanced knowledge of banking and clearing landscape.
• Broad understanding of risk topics including credit and fraud.
• Strong sense of ownership and resilience.
• Experience managing risk initiatives across partners.
• Strong stakeholder management skills.
• Analytical, data-driven decision-making approach.
• Demonstrated project/program management skills.
• Excellent collaboration and communication skills.
• Ability to prioritize impactful initiatives.
