State Veterinarian (Public Service Manager II) - Remote

Overview

This position serves as the chief veterinarian in the state with the role of protecting animal health and human public health, primarily through the prevention of the spread of animal diseases and those contagious to humans (zoonotic diseases). They oversee and direct several dynamic poultry, livestock, and animal disease management programs, emphasizing agricultural sector impact.

Requirements

• Degree in Veterinary Medicine.
• Current license to practice veterinary medicine in the US.

• Experience with animal and public health laws.
• Supervisory experience in disease outbreak response.
• Ability to communicate effectively in writing and orally.
• Experience in public speaking and stakeholder engagement.
