Overview

The Senior Charge Capture Auditor works closely with clinical departments to ensure compliance with government, payer, and internal charge capture policies while providing education to the clinical departments.

In Short

• Works with Med Assets software to manage charge description master (CDM).
• Manages charge capture audit results and conducts root cause analysis.
• Educates clinical departments on compliance with charge capture policies.
• Conducts prospective reviews of charge capture practices.
• Reports potential compliance issues to the Compliance Department.
• Assists in improving revenue compliance and efficiencies.
• Analyzes financial impacts of charge capture practices.
• Resolves account issues using EPIC WQs.
• Identifies compliance issues and revenue opportunities.
• Maintains knowledge of Medicare and Medi-Cal coding guidelines.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in a related field.
• Five years of related work experience.
• Ability to analyze complex problems and develop solutions.
• Effective communication skills in written and verbal formats.
• Proficiency in Meditech & Cerner systems.
• Knowledge of coding and regulatory requirements.
• Ability to work both as a team player and leader.
• Familiarity with billing and reimbursement processes.
• Knowledge of local, state, and federal regulatory requirements.
• Understanding of medical terminology and charge master relationships.
