Overview

The Senior Charge Capture Auditor works closely with clinical departments to ensure compliance with government, payer, and internal charge capture policies, providing education and managing audit results.

• Ensures compliance with charge capture policies.

• Manages Med Assets software for charge description master.
• Conducts root cause analysis for charge capture issues.
• Reports compliance issues to the Compliance Department.
• Assists with projects to improve revenue compliance.
• Communicates findings to clinical departments.
• Reviews EPIC WQs for account issues.
• Identifies revenue opportunities through analysis.
• Maintains effective working relationships.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in a related field.
• Five years of relevant work experience.
• Ability to analyze complex problems.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills.
• Knowledge of Medicare and coding requirements.
• Ability to work as part of a team.
• Proficiency in Meditech & Cerner systems.
• Knowledge of billing and reimbursement processes.
• Understanding of local, state, and federal regulations.
• Familiarity with medical terminology.
