Senior Charge Capture Auditor - Remote

Overview

The Senior Charge Capture Auditor works closely with clinical departments to ensure compliance with government, payer, and internal charge capture policies; provides education to the clinical departments.

• Works with Med Assets software to manage clinical department charge description master (CDM).
• Conducts charge capture audits and root cause analysis.
• Provides education to clinical departments on charge capture practices.
• Reports compliance issues to the Compliance Department.
• Assists in improving revenue compliance and efficiencies.
• Analyzes financial impact of charge capture practices.
• Researches account issues and identifies revenue opportunities.
• Monitors ongoing compliance with coding and billing operations.
• Maintains knowledge of Medicare and Medi-Cal coding guidelines.
• Communicates findings to clinical departments effectively.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
• Five years of progressively responsible work experience.
• Ability to analyze complex problems and develop solutions.
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Knowledge of Medicare, CPT, HCPCS, and ICD-9 coding.
• Ability to work effectively in a team.
• Familiarity with Meditech & Cerner systems.
• Understanding of regulatory requirements related to charge capture.
• Ability to maintain effective working relationships.
• Knowledge of billing and reimbursement processes.
