Overview

The Credit Risk Review Governance & Practices Manager is responsible for overseeing the Credit Risk Review Program, ensuring compliance with policies and regulations, and promoting a robust risk-based culture within SouthState Bank.

In Short

  • Manage the Credit Risk Review Program and its operational execution.
  • Support Enterprise Risk Management Framework.
  • Evaluate lending practices and identify credit risks.
  • Oversee governance and compliance of CRR policies and procedures.
  • Lead Quality Assurance processes for CRR.
  • Manage CRR’s technology solutions and third-party relationships.
  • Provide input for CRR Annual Plan and reporting.
  • Supervise and mentor direct reports.
  • Participate in Continuous Improvement initiatives.
  • Ensure effective communication with management and the Board of Directors.

Requirements

  • College Degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or equivalent experience.
  • Extensive experience in Credit Risk Review and commercial lending.
  • 5+ years of management experience preferred.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and make sound decisions.
  • Knowledge of banking regulations and compliance.
  • Experience with risk management platforms.
  • Ability to drive change and promote continuous improvement.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
