Senior Data Engineer - Remote

Overview

Spark is seeking a Senior Data Engineer to join our data team. Historically, the medicare distribution industry has had a lack of transparency, but Spark is on a mission to change that. You can be a key part of the change by helping Spark build robust data infrastructure that powers our platforms and insights.

In Short

• Build and maintain critical data infrastructure components.
• Establish monitoring, alerting, and logging systems for data pipeline reliability.
• Develop and enforce data governance policies.
• Collaborate with analysts and analytics engineers on data requirements.
• Mentor and upskill junior engineers.
• Design and optimize scalable data pipelines using ETL/ELT frameworks.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in data engineering roles.
• Strong Python programming skills.
• Experience with orchestration tools like Airflow.
• Advanced proficiency in SQL and experience with dbt/Dataform.
• Proven experience with cloud-based data infrastructure.
• Understanding of version control and CI/CD pipelines.
• Excellent problem-solving skills.
• Strong communication skills.
