Tax Accounting & US Tax Lead - Remote

Overview

As a Tax Manager for the America region at Sonar, you will proactively manage direct and indirect US taxes, support the Tax Team with tax accounting focused on US GAAP, and work within a dynamic culture of motivated professionals.

• Manage US tax consultants and tax services providers.
• Automatize tax processes using software and AI tools.
• Prepare U.S. federal, state, and local income tax returns.
• Manage US tax audits and compliance.
• Prepare and book tax computations and year-end adjustments.
• Reconcile tax accounts and assist with financial modeling.
• Improve existing tax reporting and compliance processes.
• Prepare group tax forecasts and consolidated US GAAP Tax provision.
• Collaborate with the Head of Tax on various projects.
• Work in a flexible environment with a dynamic culture.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or related field; advanced degree or CPA preferred.
• Minimum of 5 years in US corporate taxation.
• Strong technical expertise in US tax laws and regulations.
• Experience with US GAAP tax accounting.
• Solid analytical and research skills.
• Proficiency with ERP systems like Oracle/Netsuite.
• English proficiency required; French is a plus.
