SONAR/FreightWaves is looking for a curious, tenacious, and team-oriented Senior Data Engineer to join our fast-paced engineering team. The ideal candidate is inquisitive, versatile, and thrives on change.

In Short

• Implement ingestion pipelines using Airflow.
• Implement transformation pipelines with DBT.
• Collaborate with Software Engineering and DevOps.
• Define and implement data quality control processes.
• Build pipelines using multiple technologies and cloud environments.
• Ensure data automation stability with monitoring tools.
• Review infrastructure for architectural enhancements.
• Work closely with Data Science for advanced data analysis.

Requirements

• Strong knowledge of Apache Airflow.
• Experience with SaaS or DaaS products.
• Strong in Linux and scripting languages.
• Python expertise.
• Understanding of software best practices.
• Experience with major RDBMS (MySQL, Postgres, etc.).
• Strong SQL skills.
• Experience with NoSQL databases.
• Multi-cloud experience.
• Strong interpersonal skills.
