Overview

The Patient Customer Service and Collections Specialist is responsible for addressing patient billing inquiries, resolving concerns or discrepancies, and collecting outstanding balances for healthcare services. This role ensures clear and compassionate communication with patients and supports timely and accurate payment resolution.

  • Prepare accurate files for collection agencies.
  • Maintain compliance with federal and state regulations.
  • Deliver exceptional patient service throughout all interactions.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Proven experience in medical billing and collections.
  • Knowledge of medical terminology and healthcare coding systems.
  • Excellent customer service skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects while paying attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in using Microsoft Office and other software systems.
  • Ability to work independently and manage deadlines.
  • Demonstrates understanding of business and company performance.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
