Overview

The Patient Customer Service Specialist is a part-time remote role that provides ridiculously nice customer service over the phone while gathering payments for medical expenses, offering solutions and negotiating repayment terms that balance the needs of patients, clients, and the business.

In Short

  • Places and receives phone calls to/from patients to gather payment for medical expenses.
  • Collects demographic, insurance, and other relevant information from patients.
  • Educates patients on the healthcare revenue cycle and repayment programs.
  • Maintains knowledge of the expectations and processes of Americollect's clients.
  • Must train Monday-Friday 11:00am-3:00pm CST for approximately 4-5 weeks.
  • Work from home option available for residents of Wisconsin, Michigan, and Iowa.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma/GED preferred.
  • 1+ year(s) of experience in a customer service capacity preferred.
  • 1+ year(s) of experience in a call center environment preferred.
  • 1+ year(s) of experience in medical/insurance coding and billing preferred.
