Field Service Technician II - Remote

Overview

This position requires daily travel with primary responsibility for the equipment at the Laredo Border Crossing.

In Short

• Troubleshoots, services, installs and repairs Trace, X-Ray, CT X-Ray and Cargo Inspection equipment.
• Maintains field service log and filing system.
• Demonstrates initiative and dedication to exceed customer and company requirements.
• Conducts follow-up calls with customers to ensure satisfaction.
• Completes all scheduled maintenance within required deadlines.
• Maintains an accurate inventory of parts and tools.
• Participates in Service Sales opportunities.
• Maintains currency on all technical certifications.
• Ensures tools and test equipment are properly maintained.
• Complies with health, safety and environmental policies.

Requirements

• Associate’s Degree/Related Trade Certification or equivalent experience.
• Minimum of 5 years experience in troubleshooting and field repair.
• Excellent communication skills and customer focus.
• Willingness to travel at short notice.
• Ability to lift/carry 80 lbs.
• Self-motivated and reliable individual.
• Must be able to work safely in varied environments.
