Medium Voltage Service Specialist - Remote

Overview

We are seeking an MV Service Specialist who is responsible for performing warranty repairs, technical support, and extensive testing of the internal workings of SMA MV products. This role involves working with medium/high voltage electricity and maintaining excellent customer service performance.

In Short

• Testing, troubleshooting, and repairing SMA Large Scale MV systems.
• Developing knowledge of SMA's Medium Voltage products.
• Familiarity with DGA sampling and interpreting results.
• Maintaining inventory count of spare parts.
• Working with high voltage DC, three-phase power, and related software.
• Maintaining high customer satisfaction while managing service costs.
• Collaborating with Global Service Organization and suppliers.
• Performing maintenance activities as per SMA product maintenance manual.
• Possible weekend or night work depending on customer requirements.
• Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in a technical field is preferred.
• Medium Voltage Diagnosis Testing Certification is desired.
• 3 years of experience in electrical, electronic, or network communications.
• 3 years of experience with Medium Voltage equipment.
• Experience with Cold weld patch repairs and field transformer repairs.
• Knowledge of pad mounted transformers and operation of switchgears is preferred.
