O&M Service Engineer - Remote

Overview

The O&M Service Engineer is responsible for maintaining Utility & commercial inverters, PV Solar equipment, and customer site equipment in the field. This role involves commissioning, troubleshooting, repairing, and analyzing inverter applications while ensuring excellent customer service.

In Short

• Commission, troubleshoot, and repair Utility & commercial inverters and PV Solar equipment.
• Develop knowledge of SMA and other inverter products.
• Work with high voltage DC electricity and low & medium voltage power.
• Ensure high customer satisfaction and lower service costs.
• Work from heights and operate forklifts.
• Work from a remote home office and travel as needed.
• Maintain a working knowledge of electrical safety codes.
• Collaborate with customers via email and telephone.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Associate’s degree or higher in a technical field preferred.
• At least 2 years of experience in PV Solar O&M.
• At least 3 years of experience in electrical or network communications.
• California Electrical License preferred.
• NABCEP Certification strongly preferred.
