Overview

HomeVision is building products to modernize and revolutionize the real estate valuation industry to create a more efficient, transparent, and equitable US housing market. We’re seeking a senior engineering contractor who can grow and architect our technology platform as well as grow and mentor our engineering team.

In Short

• Work on a Golang/Python on AWS stack
• Build workflow automation products for home appraisal professionals
• Develop entire products from valuation models to frontend data visualizations
• Strong experience in backend development is required
• Proven experience in Unix/Linux environments and distributed systems
• Ability to learn new programming languages and technologies
• Bonus for experience with Go, Python, Elasticsearch, and Docker
• Experience in scientific and numerical computing is a plus
• Work directly with co-founders to build the vision for the valuation industry
• Strong empathy for users and understanding of complex ecosystems

Requirements

• Strong experience in backend development
• Experience in Unix/Linux environments
• Ability to learn and master new technologies
• Experience with Golang and Python preferred
• Familiarity with Docker and Elasticsearch is a bonus
• Experience in scientific computing is a plus
