Overview

The Director of Operations for Charter Air at Short’s Travel Management is responsible for leading the Charter Operations team, ensuring operational integrity, and providing exceptional service to clients in NCAA athletic travel.

In Short

• Lead and mentor Charter Operations Planners.
• Manage operational coordination of charter flights.
• Ensure compliance with industry regulations and best practices.
• Develop operational SOPs and manage irregular operations.
• Maintain relationships with third-party vendors and air carriers.
• Provide 24x7x365 client-facing operational oversight.
• Stay current on industry trends and policies.
• Collaborate with team members for seamless service delivery.
• Assist with NCAA Championship Travel as needed.
• Promote continuous improvement of operational offerings.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree preferred with 7-10 years in air charter operations.
• Deep knowledge of airline/aviation operations.
• Understanding of collegiate athletics travel.
• Strong organizational and customer-service skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office; Salesforce experience a plus.
• Ability to learn new programs and processes.
• Some travel required.
