Overview

Shippo is looking for a Software Engineer III to join their Labels team, responsible for building and maintaining Shippo’s label core API and critical carrier integrations.

In Short

• Design, implement, test, and deploy software services.
• Ensure scalability and maintainability through microservices adoption.
• Enhance CI/CD pipeline for smooth production releases.
• Verify performance and correctness of systems.
• Design and maintain database schema for large scale services.
• Architect systems for optimal performance and reuse.
• Participate in peer reviews and contribute to automated test suites.
• Collaborate with business teams on new product ideas.
• Respond quickly to system incidents as part of on-call duties.
• Assist in gathering business requirements and development.

Requirements

• 6+ years of software development experience.
• Strong interpersonal skills.
• Experience building scalable APIs and services.
• Understanding of object-oriented programming.
• Exceptional communication skills.
• Deep understanding of customer needs.
• Ability to foster a culture of innovation.
• Coding experience in server-side languages (Go, Python, Java, Ruby).
• Experience with server-side MVC frameworks (Django, .NET, Spring, Rails).
• BS or MS in Computer Science or equivalent experience.
