Overview

The Pharmacy Liaison at Shields Health Solutions provides integrated off-site support to patients, pharmacists, and providers, ensuring a full continuum of medication adherence support and encouraging the use of the hospital partner pharmacy for superior patient care services.

• Provide exceptional care to hospital patients through custom medication management services.
• Support clinic teams with prior authorizations, financial assistance, and patient onboarding.
• Educate patients on the benefits of using the hospital pharmacy.
• Manage patient medication needs and ensure adherence to regimens.
• Resolve insurance issues and secure financial assistance for patients.
• Document patient information accurately in required systems.
• Conduct outbound check-ups to ensure medication adherence.
• Communicate effectively with patients regarding their medications.
• Participate in process improvement initiatives.
• Maintain confidentiality and protect sensitive patient information.

Requirements

• Strong interpersonal and phone communication skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel and Word.
• Ability to quickly learn and adapt to proprietary tools.
• Organizational skills and attention to detail.
• 2-3 years of experience as a Pharmacy Technician required.
• State registration as a pharmacy technician is required.
• High School Diploma or GED required.
• National certification as a CPhT preferred.
• Experience in specialty pharmacy is a plus.
• Ability to handle sensitive data with discretion.
