Overview

The Director of Operations Human Resources is responsible for leading and motivating a team of HR Managers and Business Partners who work collaboratively to build HR strategies, improve organizational performance and develop capabilities to attract, engage, develop, reward, and retain talent.

In Short

  • Provide guidance and input across workforce planning/org design, succession planning, and other key people levers.
  • Overcome resistance to organizational change and influence employees to embrace it.
  • Simultaneously prioritize and execute multiple projects based on business needs.
  • Interface effectively with multiple locations and departments.
  • Ensure proactive employee engagement to support talent attraction and retention.
  • Assess organizational performance and propose HR solutions.
  • Drive strategic initiatives and coach leadership teams.
  • Apply systems thinking for organizational performance effectiveness.
  • Lead change initiatives and create a respectful, inclusive work environment.
  • Operationalize HR functions and monitor annual HR budget.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business, or equivalent.
  • 10+ years of progressive HR leadership experience.
  • Knowledge of advanced principles in HR operations.
  • Interpersonal, decision-making, and time management skills.
  • Ability to plan, direct, and coordinate HR activities.
  • Experience in coaching and training individuals and groups.
  • Knowledge of labor laws and regulations.
  • Ability to manage complex programs and a variable schedule.
  • Skills consistent with essential HR responsibilities.
