The Professional Coding Specialist II is responsible for ensuring accurate coding assignments and compliance with various coding guidelines and regulatory agencies, while interacting with healthcare providers to enhance coding accuracy.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Associates degree in Health Information Management or relevant certification (RHIT, RHIA, CCS, CCS-P, CPC).
• Two years of medical coding experience required.
• Preferred: Two years of physician office coding experience.
• Knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to prioritize tasks and work independently.
• Must meet quality and productivity standards.
• Must possess decision-making ability and handle interruptions.
• Must be able to lift 10-20 pounds and sit for long periods.
