Overview

The Director, Compliance at Sharecare is responsible for overseeing privacy and compliance operations, ensuring adherence to HIPAA and other regulations, while supporting the Chief Privacy Officer in setting the privacy strategy.

In Short

• Owns operational execution of privacy and ROI compliance.
• Supports privacy strategy and risk assessment.
• Interprets HIPAA and state medical record laws.
• Leads internal and client audits.
• Ensures compliance in implementations and product adoption.
• Manages compliance training for staff.
• Acts as a senior escalation point for compliance issues.
• Conducts seminars/webinars on compliance topics.
• Maintains relationships with stakeholders.
• Oversees investigation of privacy and security incidents.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s preferred.
• 8–10+ years of experience in compliance and privacy.
• Privacy credentials such as RHIA, CHPS preferred.
• Expertise in HIPAA and HITECH regulations.
• Experience with audit response and corrective action planning.
• Strong communication and presentation skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
• Hands-on experience with EHR systems preferred.
