Overview

As the global head of the Food Segment in Business Assurance, you will be responsible for defining strategy, driving growth, and ensuring operational excellence in our food certification/services solutions business, ensuring SGS maintains and strengthens its position as global market leaders.

• Develop and execute a comprehensive business strategy primarily for the food assurance segment.
• Identify and capitalize on market trends, emerging risks, and opportunities within the food sector.
• Collaborate with global and regional leadership to ensure consistency in service delivery and innovation.
• Oversee all operational aspects of food certification services.
• Lead process optimization to enhance efficiency, scalability, and customer satisfaction.
• Act as a key representative to clients, regulatory bodies, and industry associations.
• Build, manage, and inspire a high-performing team.
• Drive the development of pricing strategies that reflect market conditions.

Requirements

• Proven leadership experience in the food certification, TIC, or related industries.
• Familiarity with food safety, quality, and regulatory standards.
• Demonstrated success in driving business growth and leading cross-functional teams.
• Exceptional stakeholder management and negotiation skills.
• Advanced degree in Food Science, Business Administration, or a related field.
• Familiarity with emerging topics and technologies in food safety and traceability.
• Multilingual abilities and international experience are an advantage.
