Fullstack Senior Software Engineer - Remote

Overview

SMG is seeking a Fullstack Senior Software Engineer to design, build, and maintain scalable APIs and high-quality web applications using React, Next.js, and modern frontend tooling. Build and deploy cloud-based SaaS applications on Azure, with a focus on performance, reliability, and observability.

In Short

• Integrate front-end applications with backend services and databases (e.g. SQL, Snowflake).
• Champion CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, and trunk-based development.
• Lead and participate in technical design discussions and code reviews.
• Collaborate closely with product, design, and engineering teams.
• Contribute to Agile planning and roadmap execution.
• Provide clear technical guidance and interpret complex business requirements.
• Proactively identify risks and propose solutions to improve platform performance.
• Communicate effectively across the team, offering constructive feedback.
• Stay current with relevant technologies and apply them to the product.
• Mentor and support other engineers, promoting knowledge sharing.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience required.
• 5+ years of experience building and maintaining modern web applications.
• Proficient knowledge of JavaScript/TypeScript, React, Next.js.
• Knowledge of web and system architecture, including RESTful APIs.
• Experience designing scalable system architectures on Azure.
• Hands-on experience with relational databases (e.g. SQL Server, PostgreSQL).
