Overview

As a Claims Adjuster at Sedgwick, you will analyze and manage mid- and higher-level auto claims, ensuring adherence to company standards and industry best practices while negotiating settlements.

In Short

  • Analyze mid- and higher-level general auto claims.
  • Determine scope of damages and adjudicate claims.
  • Identify subrogation of claims and negotiate settlements.
  • Manage claims by gathering information and assigning reserve values.
  • Communicate with claimants and clients regarding claim actions.
  • Ensure proper documentation and claims coding.
  • Maintain professional relationships with clients.
  • Perform other assigned duties as required.
  • Travel as necessary for the role.
  • Work in a team environment and meet performance competencies.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • Four years of claims management experience required.
  • Professional certification preferred.
  • State adjusting licenses as required.
  • Strong knowledge of insurance principles and laws.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • PC literate, including Microsoft Office products.
  • Strong analytical and interpretive skills.
  • Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to create comprehensive reports and meet deadlines.
