Overview

The Oregon Department of Human Services is seeking a Budget Data Analyst (Operations & Policy Analyst 3) to support budget planning and analysis, reporting requirements, and data management across the agency.

In Short

  • Support BPA in reporting requirements for budget allocation.
  • Evaluate, analyze, and deliver data to Senior Budget Analysts.
  • Develop and validate ad hoc and ongoing reports.
  • Translate metrics and data to business needs.
  • Design and maintain data pipelines and storage systems.
  • Work within a hybrid environment, attending quarterly meetings in Salem, Oregon.
  • Engage in collaborative problem-solving with diverse audiences.
  • Ensure compliance with financial controls and regulations.
  • Utilize Microsoft Word, Excel, and Power BI for reporting.
  • Contribute to a positive and inclusive agency culture.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in relevant fields or equivalent experience.
  • Four years of professional-level evaluative and analytical work.
  • Experience in data management and compliance.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to organize work efficiently and meet deadlines.
  • Experience with data query software.
  • Demonstrated cultural humility and responsiveness.
  • Ability to provide verification of education if selected.
  • Criminal history and background check required.
  • Must complete I-9 form confirming authorization to work in the USA.
