Permitting Specialist - Remote

Overview

Schneider Geospatial is excited to welcome a Permitting Specialist to our growing professional services team. This role focuses on the setup of new clients with Schneider Geospatial’s online Permitting and Licensing SaaS products, working closely with client contacts to ensure a smooth implementation and providing excellent remote customer service.

In Short

• Direct engagement with client organizations to understand their processes.
• Configuration and deployment of SaaS product updates.
• Analyze client in-office processes and translate into workflow design.
• Leverage Geographic Information System (GIS) and database technologies.
• Train clients on how to use Schneider Geospatial software products.
• Provide remote customer support and troubleshooting.
• Develop documentation for implementation and training.
• Remote and/or on-site installation and configuration.
• Excellent communication skills required.
• Willingness to learn new skills and travel as needed.

Requirements

• BA/BS or Certificate in relevant fields or a combination of education and experience.
• Three years or more of GovTech or workflow software experience preferred.
• Customer Service experience.
• Experience with local government operations.
• Knowledge of GIS technologies, especially ESRI's ArcGIS.
• Strong problem solving and analytical skills.
• Ability to communicate effectively in English.
• Desire to work in small teams with an entrepreneurial attitude.
• Strong work ethic and proactive approach.
• A valid driver’s license and good driving record may be required.
