Permitting Specialist - Remote

Overview

We are currently seeking experienced Permitting Specialists for a leading West Coast based Client. Ideal candidates should be detail-oriented, able to research state and local permit requirements, interpret and apply permit regulations, and solve complex problems while coordinating with stakeholders to ensure permit approval.

In Short

• This role involves preparing and submitting permit applications, securing entitlements, managing joint-use programs, and ensuring compliance with applicable codes and policies.
• The individual will interface with various authorities, maintain tracking systems, manage records, and support financial and vendor management tasks.
• Assist with all aspects of preparing and submitting permits.
• Secure entitlements for installations in public rights of way, utility easements, DOT standards, and private property.
• Engage with municipal, county, and state authorities to obtain necessary approvals.
• Maintain and update tracking systems accurately, including third-party management systems.
• Develop and maintain accurate, complete project and program files.
• Create and maintain permit records, including inspections, permitting, billings, policies and code compliance verification.
• Develop and maintain strong working relationships with internal and external customers to foster positive joint-use cooperation and collaboration.
• Maintain databases and client interface modules.
• Communicate, coordinate, and follow up with Engineering and Operations personnel to identify the need for joint-use notifications.

Requirements

• Strong ability to communicate effectively.

• Moderate to advanced proficiency in Excel, databases, and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Ability to prioritize and multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
