Staff Accountant - Remote

In Short

• Join a growing finance team as a Staff Accountant.
• Handle day-to-day accounting across multiple entities.
• Work closely with the Controller for accurate reporting and compliance.
• Perform monthly bookkeeping and journal entries.
• Manage accounts payable and contractor payments.
• Conduct monthly bank reconciliations.
• Prepare and file U.S. state sales tax reports.
• Assist in financial statement preparation.
• Work remotely from India or the Philippines.
• Ideal for detail-oriented and proactive individuals.

Requirements

• 3–5 years of accounting experience, preferably in a tech startup.
• Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP and accrual-based accounting.
• Proficiency in QuickBooks Online is required.
• Experience with intercompany accounting.
• Comfortable working in a remote and fast-paced environment.
• CPA preferred but not required.
• High attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
• Excellent communication and self-management skills.
• Experience with Remote.com, Saasgrid, or Melio is a plus.
