Overview

The Manager, Technical Project Management manages a team of Technical Project and Program Managers supporting the IT Infrastructure, Operations and Security Project Portfolio. They establish, plan, and administer the overall policies and goals for their project portfolio.

In Short

  • Oversee a portfolio made up of projects using different types of planning and execution methodologies.
  • Manage, direct and coordinate the activities of team of Project Managers, Program Managers and Systems Analysts.
  • Manage and train Program Managers, Project Managers and Systems Analysts.
  • Maintain the project portfolio and report status to Steering Committee.
  • Work with IT Leadership and Business Partners to ensure portfolio health.
  • Drive and maintain a roadmap for the portfolio.
  • Drive Quarterly Planning within portfolio.
  • Manage work within project pillars of strategy, intake, discovery, execution and realization.
  • Manage program level risks and dependencies.
  • Facilitate key decision processes with Project Managers and Team Leads.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience.
  • 7-9 years of experience in a technical program or project management role.
  • 4-6 years in a lead capacity with large budgets.
  • 1-3 years of management or supervisory experience preferred.
  • Competency across a range of project management tools.
  • Experience managing Infrastructure, NetOps, Security and Operations development teams.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of Infrastructure/Operations/Security methodologies.
  • Familiarity with key technologies and platforms.
  • Ability to portray a positive attitude and motivate others.
  • Strong critical thinking skills and a continuous drive to learn.
