Overview

As a Public Sector Enterprise Core Sales Engineer at Samsara, you will play a crucial role in supporting sales efforts and enhancing the technical capabilities of the sales team, contributing to the growth of existing customers and acquiring new ones.

In Short

  • Respond to functional and technical elements of RFIs/RFPs.
  • Manage projects and build process improvements for the Sales Engineering team.
  • Maintain excellent time management skills while focusing on quota achievement.
  • Travel up to 50% of the time, requiring proximity to an international airport.
  • Champion Samsara’s cultural principles and contribute to team enablement.
  • Work in a flexible, remote environment while being based in the Central Region of the USA.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree from a 4-year accredited university.
  • 5+ years of experience in a pre-sales technical role or customer support.
  • Strong technical sales acumen and understanding of business processes.
  • Ability to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
  • Experience managing product evaluations and integrations.
  • Basic understanding of electronics and electrical systems.
  • Knowledge of cloud software, computer networking, and automation.
  • Familiarity with integration standards (XML, REST, SOAP, etc.).
  • Experience with RESTful APIs and SaaS integrations.
  • Must reside in the USA and be authorized to work here.
