Senior Sales Engineer - Public Sector - Remote

Overview

As a Senior Sales Engineer in the public sector at Ping Identity, you will merge your enthusiasm for identity management and public sector ICAM with a commitment to customer success.

In Short

• Deliver pre-sales activities including solution demonstrations and technical guidance.
• Act as the go-to technical expert on Ping Identity solutions.
• Establish enduring relationships with customers.
• Collaborate with the sales team to deliver revenue.
• Coordinate pre-sales efforts with post-sales service delivery.
• Provide insightful feedback on product enhancements.
• Mentor junior team members.
• Develop subject matter expert-level knowledge of Ping Identity solutions.
• Able to travel 15% to 40% as needed.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science or equivalent field, or 5+ years' experience in a customer-facing role.
• 3+ years experience working with US Federal government agencies.
• Deep knowledge of standard identity protocols: SAML, WS-Fed, OAuth, OIDC, and SCIM.
• Experience with REST interfaces and technologies underlying identity solutions.
• Experience with modern programming languages and web technologies.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.
• Adept at linking technical capabilities to customer needs.
• Knowledge of IAM concepts.
• Familiarity with infrastructure and cloud services providers.
